Mgr Armand Toussaint is born on the 28th of January,1895 and he died on the 4th of July, 1994 at the age of 99 years old.

This exceptionnal man knew a remarkable path which brought him very early to the martinism, to rosicrucianism, to alchemy and other oriental philosophies.
He was initiated by S. I. of the Martinist Order by Marcotoune from Kiev, and was responsible in Belgium of the Rosicrucian brotherhood, created by Max Heindel, for more than thirty years. He edited there a specialized review in the esoteric domain and organized several european conventions. And it was at a quite advanced age that he received the episcopate, in 1963, from Mgr Roger Deschamps, who was Primate of Belgium of the Gnostic Apostolic Church. It is thanks to this apostolic succession that Mgr Armand Toussaint is cited at the page 224 of the Old Catholic Sourcebook as bishop of the Old Catholic Succession. Concerned about transmitting this succession and to perpetuate then the Church's life, he especially ordered at the episcopate Mgr Roger Caro, creator of the Church of the New Alliance and Imperator of the "Ordre des Frères Aînés de la Rose-Croix". He received, by the way, from this Order a formation in alchemy that allowed him to receive the "adeptat" as "Frère Aîné de la Rose-Croix". He even became Honorary Imperator of the Order.

Until his death, which happened in 1994, he continued to have a great influence inside the Martinist Order, inside some rosicrucian organizations and in the Gnostic Apostolic Church which took, under his leadership, the name of Rosicrucian Apostolic Church. In addition to that, he applied until the end of his life his charisma of therapeutist and received daily at home patients worried to find with him comfort and spiritual assistance.
